I’m a strategic designer interested in how we can transition to post-carbon and ecologically regenerative urban futures. Recently, I've worked on projects supporting decarbonisation and increased material circularity in the built environment, including designing a digital tool to analyse environmental impact and circularity in buildings; researching local supply chains for bio-based materials; and mapping material, energy and water flows in buildings.
Since 2019, I've been working at Dark Matter Laboratories as a strategic designer and researcher. Gaining experience across UX design; systems mapping; material flow analysis; and low embodied carbon and circular construction. I've also worked on projects exploring the combination of AI and collective intelligence and analysing the impact of the New York High Line on surrounding land value.
I studied Design Products at the Royal College of Art, where I designed furniture for a circular economy and explored the transition to distributed low-carbon energy in homes. Before this, I studied Manufacturing Engineering at Cambridge University where I developed design guidelines for more easily repairable domestic appliances, in collaboration with Dualit and Dyson.
I previously worked in cleantech consulting at the Carbon Trust as well as more hands on design roles in some small design studios.
Currently based in London.
